Footlight is community supported, fiscally sponsored and partially grant funded to operate.

The Footlight emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the emerging arts community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. We prioritize paying artists 65% of the admission regardless of draw. We understand that emerging artists need a platform to grow their audience and learn their craft. Small stages like ours are essential to the arts ecosystem in NYC.

In order to sustain our mission, we have become fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas. We're exploring grant opportunities for 2024 and beyond. In 2023 Footlight Presents has been the proud recipient of the Live Music Society "Toolbox Grant" and the "Little Venue That Could Grant" from Indie Space.
